Free 2024 Small Business Planner + 3 Things to Do Now to Get Ahead of Next Year

December already? This year has flown by! With the new year around the corner, carve out some time this month to do a little planning so you can start 2024 off strong.

Don’t feel like you need to have a finalized plan this month – we know it’s likely one of your busiest seasons – but start to visualize your ideal 2024 and outline next year at a high level. This will give you a jumpstart in January.

Download our free 2024 Small Business Planner and do these 3 simple exercises to get ahead of next year:

1.Reflect on 2023

Planning for next year starts with reflecting on the previous year. Here are some reflection questions:

  • What were your top accomplishments?

  • What were your busiest seasons? The slowest?

  • What partnerships, promotions, press or events really helped move the needle?

  • What 2023 goals are still left to complete?

  • What did I not have time for this year that I want to do next year?

Remember, you are NOT a failure if some of your goals or dream collaborations fell through the cracks. When you are doing it all on your own or with a small team it isn’t possible to do everything. Rather than try and squeeze in everything left undone this month, ruthlessly prioritize and push everything else to next year.

2. Visualize Your Ideal 2024

Grab a journal or a Google Doc and do a visualization exercise to get in the headspace of setting goals for next year. Write out your thoughts as you reflect on these questions:

  • Where do you want your business to be this time next year?

  • What are your dream collaborations for next year?

  • What collections, services, products or initiatives do you want to launch?

  • What publications would you love to feature your business?

  • What do you want your business to be known for this time next year?

3. Create a high level plan for 2024
